Disposal trolley for intermediate storage of surgical instruments that have been contaminated with the Creutzfeldt-Jakob pathogen in special stainless steel containers.
Trolley in robust, self-supporting and hygienic design, made of high-quality stainless steel. Open design, made of square tubes with loosely attached stainless steel containers with fixed upper handles and inserted strainer bowls with chest handles. Container ¿ after filling with 2-molar sodium hydroxide solution ¿ for holding and manual cleaning surgical instruments that have potentially or evidentially been contaminated with the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease pathogen, and for 24-hour intermediate storage as preparatory measure for sterilisation. Containers covered by stainless steel lid with continuous silicone seal. Underside of containers with welded 1/2'' ball valves enabling drainage of sodium hydroxide into building-side plastic disposal containers via plugged-on hose pieces. The disposal containers are safely supported on a removable, flat stainless steel pan during filling. Both face sides of the trolley base fitted with wire racks for holding the stainless steel lids. Four massive polyethylene disc bumpers at the bottom and two polymer corner bumpers at the upper corners that serve as bumpers and very effectively protect the equipment on all sides as well as building-side walls from being damaged, with integrated ergonomically-designed push bars. Trolley runs on 4 swivel casters of which 2 with total locks, ø 4.9'' (125 mm), with pin fastening.
