2019 In Review

The New Year is nearly upon us and what better time to take a look back over the year, than now.

It has been a hectic year for Hupfer, we have seen countless installations, attended a multitude of events and conferences and released some impressive new products. We welcomed some new members of the team, and promoted some of our existing members, as well as scoring some other highlights along the way.

At the start of the year, Hupfer was officially upgraded as a platinum ceda partner. We joined the ceda membership in July last year, when we entered into a silver partnership, but promoted the position, this January, in order to emphasise our continued loyalty to ceda members.

Shortly after, we launched the Hupfer Thermadry, a unit manufactured with modern heating technology, utilising infrared heating lamps which heat the containers through radiation, which made a positive impression in the foodservice industry.

We showcased the Thermadry and a number of our innovative products at events and conferences across the UK and Europe, throughout the year. The Hupfer team attended numerous events, the first took place in March at the Internorga exhibition tour, which takes place across five days in March and welcomes visitors and exhibitors operating within the out-of-home market.

The following event attended was the ceda conference which took place on Thursday, April 4th. Swiftly followed by the HCA (Hospital Caterers Association) Forum, which also took place in April.

In June, we headed down to the NEC in Birmingham to exhibit at the annual Commercial Kitchen Show. At the exhibition, Hupfer was thrilled to be announced as the winner of a Gold Innovation Award for the second year in a row. On the second day of the show, the Innovation Challenge took place and Hupfer’s ThermaDry was also in the running for an award.

One month later, we exhibited at the TUCO Conference, at the University of York. Then in October, we flew to Milan for HostMilano, the world’s leading catering and hospitality exhibition.

We completed our events for the year, in December, when Hupfer Medical attended the Institute of Decontamination Sciences Annual Conference. Over the three day period, Hupfer exhibited a range of products, ideal for use within hospitals and other institutions within the healthcare and science sectors.

At the latter end of the year, Hupfer Medical received recognition for our medical devices when we were certified according to ISO 13485, confirmed in an audit by an independent institute. This made Hupfer one of the world’s first manufacturers in our sector, to be certified according to the ISO standard for medical devices.

Hupfer has had a wonderful year and we couldn’t be happier with all of the good things that have happened to the business throughout 2019. We would like to say a big thank everyone who has continued to support us.

Happy New Year!
