Hupfer Looks Back On 2020

What a year it’s been! As a company, we’ve been incredibly lucky to have been able to work through the pandemic and to bring our much needed products to our customers in the UK and worldwide. However, the year we’ve had has been so much different to any other year we’ve experienced as a company (in all our 150 years!)

We wanted to pick out some of the best bits and highlight how we adapted to 2020, as well as share some upcoming information about our Christmas and New Year closures.

From face to face, to virtual meetings

We’re so thankful that business didn’t stop completely for us over the past year. We managed to switch out the face to face meetings and keep business conversations going by offering virtual meetings wherever possible to keep everyone safe.

Announced new product

With COVID-19 effecting everyone this year, we wanted to do our part to ensure establishments stayed as safe as possible through the pandemic. As a result, we introduced our new product, the universal holder for pump bottles - an easy to use, effective solution for sanitisation with minimum contact.

150 Years of Hupfer

2020 was the year we celebrated an important and rather impressive milestone - 150 years in business! We can’t quite believe it’s been so long, but in this time, we’ve come so far and we’re so proud of each and every person who has helped shape Hupfer into the successful, reputable brand it is in 2020.

It’s evident that we’ve had an extraordinary journey over the last 150 years, and we plan on making the next 150 years even bigger and better! With the advancements of technology and impressive new products in the pipeline, the whole team is more excited than ever about the future.

ENSE Virtual Conference

ENSE is the UK's premier catering equipment buying consortium, and this year's conference was held virtually to keep everyone safe from COVID-19. Hupfer UK’s Anthony Pettit and Dave Coburn were available to chat at the event, and even though events like these are not what we usually expect, it was a very successful one!

Shortlisted for the Supplier of the Year - Business Development award

We were delighted to be shortlisted in this year's Kitchen & Equipment awards from Catering Insight and Foodservice Equipment Journal!

This award recognises manufacturers that have excelled in developing distributor sales and growing their company - a big thanks to the whole Hupfer team for all their hard work.

Simply being nominated was a great achievement and we also want to say a big thank you to everyone who recognised us.

Welcomed Sarka Oldham as Head of Medical Business Development

On December 1st, we were very happy to introduce Sarka Oldham, our new Head of Medical Business Development here at Hupfer! It's an absolute pleasure to bring Sarka on board with us, and we're excited to see what 2021 brings for the team.

This year, we’ll be closing our doors for a well deserved Christmas break from Friday 18th December, and we’ll be reopening again on Monday 4th January.
