Our visit to the TUCO Conference

Hupfer recently exhibited at the TUCO Conference, an exhibition aimed at caterers in the university; it was our first time exhibiting and it turned out to be an excellent event allowing us to showcase some innovative products.

TUCO, which stands for The University Caterers Organisation, is the leading professional membership body for in-house caterers operating in the higher and further education sector. Taking place at the University of York on July 29th - 31st the conference had a primary aim to focus on ‘Driving Commercial Success’.

Hupfer was able to unveil a handful of exciting new products across the three-day conference, including a number of heated and refrigerated appliances;

The Therma-dry: A re-invention of the Bain-marie with an easy access door, easy cleaning and instant heat-u via Infra-red. Our Hot N Cold plate, with temperature ranging from -6° to +140°, available in a choice of materials and colours, with a dual lighting system for optimal food presentation and the Isobox: An ambient transport cart with the flexibility to turn into a heated cupboard or mobile cooler with an easy to remove module system. Ideal for holding temperature and transporting around campus. Available with hot plates which can be custom wrapped.

Alongside these food temperature maintaining appliances, is a range of classic racking/shelving all of which accommodate easily adjustable shelf heights and maximise storage requirements. Available in a choice of materials with no requirements for castors which reduce weight-bearing.

The TUCO Conference, committed to improving and further developing the catering experience, provided the perfect environment to promote our new state-of-the-art products which we were delighted to display.

We are now looking forward to working with additional universities and further education establishments who will benefit from our new foodservice solutions, ideal for these industries who cater to hundreds of students, daily.
